Welcome Back Dolls!

We're actually a month into the New Year already and it seems like 2017 has been serving some serious changes and comebacks in the beauty industry! One top trend that I think really never went out of style is the "natural" brow. We've all been victim of capturing and taking off with the still very popular trend; the Instagram Baddie "On Fleek" Brow. But in all honesty, who doesn't admire a good natural brow? This year, natural is in. Period! Being fleeky will never loose its position in the glamour world but embracing who you are and all of the features your beauty has to offer will only help you grow in perfecting those trickier brow techniques in the long run.

Today, I'll be teaching you ladies and gents the ShadesByNaami way of doing natural brows. Don't panic if you're sitting there reading this like, "I don't even have eyebrows to begin with, how ima do a natural brow if I don't even have brows?"

Well it's simple. Anyone can do my techniques in order to get the look they're going for. One of the major keys to natural brows is that less is always more. If you wana know tips on how to achieve a natural brow check out below.

Step 1

Try finding eyebrow products that are not considered thick or heavy in consistency. Avoid products like pomades, and dark brow pencils and consider trying powders and brow gel to amplify the intensity of your brows without changing the entire appearance of them. Once you figure what type of brow product you like and prefer best that doesn't pack on too much product, you can begin filling in your brows the natural way!

The beauty of natural brows is they have no defined shape! Which means whether you have bushy eyebrows or barely any brows at all, there are no direct rules or regulations to creating the brow you're going for! I personally recommend powder for my dolls with naturally thick brows and tinted brow gel for my Dolls that are starting with little to no brows and want to build the color and shape of their brows.

Step 2

Time to fill in what you got! Or should I say fade in... No matter the type of product, a light, steady hand will always take you a long way.

Bushy Brow Dolls: You guys are working with a lot of little brow hairs and I know sometimes it can seem like a lot to fill in those brows without it looking even bushier or just a plain hot mess! That's why I'm suggesting you dolls use powder to get that natural brow look. Powder is the perfect product because you're able to lightly fill in those tiny gaps in between brow hairs without making it look thick or cakey like brow pomades tend to do. Using a small angled brush, fill in the gaps with the powder. Start off lightly and build your way up to intensify the boldness of those brows. Its all about preference for this, but just remember the main tip, "less is more."

Little to No Brow Dolls: Now I know that this crew is probably freaking out because doing brows probably is the most stressful part of doing your own makeup but not to fear; Naami's here to help! For you lovely's I recommend using a tinted brow gel. This probably is the fastest, most effective way to create a natural brow that just works for you but isn't to much! Tinted brow gels vary in many different shades from clear to blonde, to brown to black. There is a tinted brow gel for every woman or man that wants more definition in their brows! The product is easy to use but also requires that light steady hand I mentioned previously. Lightly brush your brows upward with small spoolie dipped in brow gel. Follow the direction of your brow's natural arch and continue to build in color and shape of your brow. Everything should be done in small delicate strokes going up. As you build up the shade of your brow, the shape and boldness that you want will be pop out right at you!

Step 3

The final and, to me, most crucial step when aiming for a natural brow is highlighting under the brow! This step is completely optional but I think it is useful if you're looking to add some more dimension to your brow shape. The illuminating effect that highlighting gives to your brows will give them a cleaner look while also adding a subtle glow to the overall face.

There you have it Dolls! Some tips on how you can achieve your natural brow starting today! I will also leave a list of products below that might be of interest to you guys! Don't forget, practice makes perfect.
